“The Virgo Diaries: When The Inner Critic Becomes Their Inner Coach”
I’m going to honour my Virgo with this Virgo-ing all-out blog. The blog I did want to write but didn’t. Because I reject my Virgo but don’t at the same time anyone Elsa!?– time to unthaw our frozen freaked out cells scared of their own power! The Virgo and I…we’ve had a run, almost 37 years this lifetime, posing as the Virgo born on the 8th of September. I went from using and abusing taking advantage of my Virgo to honouring the heck out of her meticulous know even when it went against my want! That’s how you flip the script on those old narratives running you through the same lessons and loops! R2D2 must break old coding, must get emotion! 11:11 here we come 🤖❤️ #ifkyk
We’ve got a double dose of Virgo hence why we’re #VIRGOINGALLOUT with the seasons switching from the extroverted lion to the introverted mermaid on the 22nd with Virgo Season commencing and the rare Black Virgo New Moon following on the 23rd of this month. Which screams to me…Your subconscious mind is like a rose right now and it’s trying to crack through self-limiting concrete. All of your memories the ones; you remember and the ones you’ve chosen to forget are bubbling over like hot water in a pot on the stovetop. They want out from Aladdin’s cave filled with all your wondering! I wonder this and I wonder that, instead of having a direct line of communication with your cells! You’ve got the answers, time to do the interior research my friends! This hot water boiling over is all the unprocessed experiences, beliefs, ideas, thoughts, feelings, and actions and the lack of connecting one event, relationship, circumstance to the other.
Still witch me? My stream is revving as I start to breathe in, push past the avoidance and tension collecting what I’m exactly meant to share ( whether I want to or not hah ). There’s a lot of different ideas and approaches coming forth, and I’m having to hone it in and focus on what exactly is meant to be stated and guided. Just like when I teach a yoga class or work with a client, I feel the nerves kick in – the sense of a new experience and an opportunity to gather information, heal a versION of mycellves, gain new perspectives all of which used to be felt as I’m scared, I’m worrying and I’m overthinking, I can’t sleep, now I’m procrastinating and now I’m mad at myself for doing that all over again, now I have anxiety, what the heck is a panic attack?, because I’m sensitive enough to know it’s a pattern, and something ain’t right, but not informed enough to sense where it’s coming from or how to heal it. Wearing a helmet of self-limiting beliefs. All very Virgo! Hypercritical, precise, practical, detailed oriented, perfectionist, stubborn, sensitive, and the need for balancing and directing these traits into healthy places regulates the self out just like with any sign. Which is why it’s so important to learn and embody each zodiac understanding it’s a huge piece of your entire puzzle. You’re just riding out that main zodiac sign as a chance to karmically heal that part of you.
As we flip the perspective stubborn for truth, notices all subtle shifts and changes in tone and behaviours, keen to seeing cycles and patterns, can do it attitude, leader we can put our main governing energies to good use for our cells and others making our experiences much more enjoyable and purposeful. I’m hearing resourceful! Highlighting the Virgo’s great ability to source what it needs. The Virgo, the nurturer has a great ability to attract what it needs. Which is why it needs to manage and hone in on its excess thoughts using this fire and manifesting power towards what’s going to actually assist its cells and self on the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical levels.
The Virgo’s nature is to go deep (small talk what’s that?) so if you find a rejection to heart to hearts, vulnerability, sharing about your personal life, going beyond the superficial how’s the weather, taking care of your health, body, and home these are all signs and traits you’re having relationship issues with your own Virgo aka pure nature. The Virgo part of you loves routines and rituals that make sense and organize its organism. Your Virgo is living for you to stop, slow down, and focus on your cells so that everything else can have a chance to change.
The Virgo loves a smarter, not harder, more practical approach, and let's learn from the sweeter lessons because we can… (There's a bit of a know-it-all vibe because a Virgo's know is its superpower due to its sensory nature—we feel everything). Now, feeling everything and being able to identify it are two very different things. Which is why, when the Virgo starts to question its senses, working to get to know the language and symptoms from its own cells, its hypersensitivity becomes its ability to catch things way up there in the aether, before anything even materializes, with the ability to then shift the outcome. We all have this when we reignite sensitivity aka all of our senses( ideas, thoughts, feelings, and actions; cell memory) in our cells.
My 36-year-old Virgo self loves to rebel with a cause, keeps a small circle, and cherishes downtime at home. I'm all about indulging in hot steamy baths, prioritizing getting everyone through the day regulated and feeling like their cellves. Lots of yoga, skateboarding, crafting, dancing, singing, and laughing daily (even when motivation is scarce). I crave the outdoors, slowing down, cuddles, vegging out, and a tidy, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. As a guide, teacher, and mom, I aim to raise my children with a DIY, ethical, wholistic, realistic, and intergenerational approach. With to-do lists spanning a month, year, and lifetime (lol!), this year has been a challenging yet enlightening journey.
I had to fall in love with my Virgo side in my mid 20’s when my health failed. My inner critic had to become my inner coach, and that's when my mind and body started working together. My early years were surrounded by trying to fit into and navigate through structures, ideas, societies, lifestyles, and relationships the go-go rat race, yolo mentality, then partying, trying to figure out my career, trying to fit in a box, limited thinking from external and parental cycles, anxiety ridden due to going against my very sensitive nature — the universe and my own body was talking I just didn’t have any healthy examples or information to make sense of my symptoms and manifested life. This last year, large pieces of my selves have been coming back from my childhood, which has been both extremely challenging and exciting. Because I know what comes after the heART work, and I'm aware of exactly what cycle I'm in and what follows, which I didn't know then. Grateful for that! The Virgo being an earth sign will have its physical health, body, environment, material possessions as a great medium as to how they are treating their own Virgo, it will reflect through the state of these representatives of the earth element.
The Virgo loves helping others and being around people, but due to its keen nature and hyper awareness, it can be quite draining and depleting. Which is why the Virgo part of us can also want to and need to retreat and be alone. We just have to find the balance in all of that. Using our know-how and our gut feeling to discern when to say no and when it’s time to go. And what was real and what was fake!
The Virgo’s ability to sense these things comes from its guts or second and third chakra, which is why one can suffer from issues related to these areas: digestion, sleep, immune disorders, autoimmune diseases, Crohn’s disease, leaky gut, Candida, rashes on skin, and other skin issues. It’s not uncommon for many to experience symptoms of their body shutting down, but really it’s just rejecting all the toxic substances and frequencies not suitable with its more sensitive nature. This can also manifest as impatience and impulsiveness, as the Virgo's energy can become pent-up and frustrated if not properly managed. The Virgo needs you all to take care of your cells – it’s your remedy to ancestral wealth and health! Dive into health issues you may have labelled as such and get to the root by getting to know your cells, cycles, patterns, and beliefs!
So take notes, make to-do lists for your to-do lists, then organize the insides and outsides, go for a big hike, charge up with some crystals, have a yummy hearty meal, bath with candles, then break through some ancestral patterns and then have a nap hah! Play with passive and active in all bodies; Spiritual travel though your timeline to heal layers of memories holding onto false beliefs then listen to music and just dance through what’s surfacing. Mentally retrain the way you are reacting moment-to-moment notice then read a book of fiction. Emotional release your hips in pigeon pose 10 minutes each side breathing into the surfacing information and asking what is all stored in the cells then paint abstract. Physically workout, lift weights, do Pilates, cardio and then go swimming!
Guided Visualization for Virgo’s Season: Beyond the Physical
Imagine your energy body as a canvas of light, vibrant and expansive. As you visualize, allow this light to soften, relax, and release any tension or rigidity. Envision your physical body as a sacred vessel, a temple that houses your soul.
As you breathe in, imagine roots growing from the base of your spine, deep into the earth, anchoring you in stability and grounding. With each exhale, envision any doubts, fears, or criticisms leaving your body, making space for curiosity, wonder, and creativity. Reflect on your childhood: What sparked your imagination? What dreams and ideas did you have? What facets of yourself did you explore? Allow these memories to resurface, and gently guide them into your present. Visualize your inner world as a lush garden, where creativity, curiosity, and wonder can flourish.
Consider your physical body as a sanctuary for your soul. What nourishment, care, and attention does it need to thrive? What habits, practices, or rituals can you cultivate to create a harmonious balance between your physical and energetic bodies?
As you embody this sense of wholeness, imagine your essence radiating outward. Envision your creativity, imagination, and curiosity infusing every aspect of your life. Allow yourself to be a vessel for your dreams, ideas, and inspirations, embracing the beauty of your unique expression.
