In Tune with June: Finding Your Rhythm in the Waves
"Junie, junie, junie" or "Hey June" are the first messages I hear—a take from the muses' lyrics. As I put the song on, I'm blasted back to my ex-boyfriend's basement, in which hours were spent performing on Guitar Hero and Rockband.
As this happens, my almost 8-year-old Lux, with locks down to his waist and in an "I'm in no hurry to get up"mood, laying next to me goes, "I like this one, it makes my head and feet bop and move." Referencing his crown and roots, noting how he resonated. He’s our Gemini, and the larger portion of this month belongs to the duality of our entire existence. The music shifts his mode and mood and he skips off to start his morning self-care with Papi. I’m in the revolving door era, as one leaves, another comes in for their MOMent*— that 1:1 time even if it’s for a minute, 5 minutes that’s so needed with ourCELLS, our self, our facets, hobbies, our children, every expansion of ourself, every particle gets what they need in this dance out of avoiDANCE (highlighting VOID as well). 🪩
As we gaze out the window watching the wind whip and the rain pour, we’re reminded of that dance—as we just spent days in the scorching heat planting seeds. I'm taken to the prenatal class I just taught for the series and how we focused on riding the waves and surges of intensity, and then the co-retreat into deep conserving.
The dance of birth. The ride into our states of giving, and back into the states of being.
The real duality.
