As I start to write this blog for the moon, the energies are very apparent and intense; some may say LOUD. So, if you ever got the "loud award" from the basic girls in grade 8, then know these energies may be hitting you a little harder, as my louder-than-life eldest runs in to narrate what's happening in the household—the too much, too loud, too little, too sensitive, too out there... two, two, Two, two—get my drift 🙃
The dance of life versus the avoidance, the interconnected nature of our being, is where I'm being directed, and I can feel how stubborn and insecure and sensitive these energies are as they pull at me while I channel this write-up and hone in on the broader themes affecting our collective and personal day-to-day lives—physical health, mental clarity, spiritual connection. When the quality and quantity of fuel we are feeding our cells is toxic, less than, fear-based, faked, it's like trying to grow a garden without any of the right nutrients or ingredients.
As all my littles run in, showing me how they've dressed themselves, curious to learn all they are becoming aware of, and stretching me to my next level of patience, while allowing me to heal parts of myself and pulling at parts of J and I. Marriage and children—that's a whole next level of life experience that falls under the 2 category, the second dimension, our sacral chakra, the mammalian part of the brain, relationships with self and others, feelings, facets which all get highlighted and propelled during these stages of human evolution and development!
Your emotional intelligence, strength, patience, passion, and compassion, empathy are pushed to all new edges, and like Moana in the second film, you level up into superhero! This moon is about those experiences that propel you into new heights, new perspectives; your beliefs are shifted, your feelings about the world are shaken, you have a renewed hope and faith, your own capacity is strengthened, and you blow your own mind out of that old water, aka feeling, that is no longer true to your new experience that just proved your old self wrong! These experiences make up the quality and quantity of our cellular worth, aka self-worth!
How you feel about yourself, life, reality, past, family, circumstances, memories, etc.... Catch my drift? It will be huge feedback for you! This rare Black Moon represents a new moon happening twice in one month, on the cusp of the linear new year, which has its significance and leaves its signature—just like the universe wants you to make your mark on this plane and rock out with your soular* system—learn how to play in all your dimensions with all your senses, heightening into the superhuman you are destined to become.
This new moon is in Capricorn ♑️, and it wants us to uncap our own crowns! Plant the right seeds to germinate for the spring, and stop modifying our own organism with fake, toxic chemicals and ingredients, relationships, perspectives, and beliefs!
Here's a self-care list and ritual tailored to the themes and energies of the Black Moon:
Self-Care 💡
1. Grounding Techniques: Practice deep breathing, meditation, ritual bathing, nature walks, or yoga to connect with your inner self and the Earth's energy. Lots of time outside to help with any crazies! 🙃
2. Hydration: Drink plenty of water and herbal teas to cleanse and nourish your body and cells. Keep the body gassed up with hydrogen and oxygen! Don’t run on half a tank or low fuel, help yourselves flush out and stay plump!
3. Nature Connection: Spend time outdoors, walk barefoot, or simply sit in a park or garden to absorb the natural world's healing energies. Again, get outside! I’m yelling at myself here too, because I need* to get out!
4. Self-Reflection: Schedule time for journaling, introspection, or therapy to process your emotions, thoughts, and experiences.
5. Boundary Setting: Establish healthy limits with others, prioritize your needs, and practice assertive communication.
6. Creative Expression: Engage in creative activities like art, music, writing, or dance to tap into your inner world and emotions.
7. Rest and Relaxation: Allow yourself time for rest, sleep, and relaxation to recharge and rejuvenate.
8. Nourishing Food: Focus on consuming whole, nutrient-dense foods that support your physical and emotional well-being.
Uncapping Our Crowns Ritual
Materials:
- A quiet, peaceful space for reflection
- A journal or notebook
- A pen or pencil
- A candle (optional)
- A small bowl of water
- A few drops of your favorite essential oil (optional)
Steps:
1. *Create a Sacred Space*: Find a quiet, comfortable spot where you can sit and reflect with minimal distractions. Light a candle, grab crystals, get situated as you wish, and take a few deep breaths to center yourself.
2. *Reflect on Limitations*: Call in all of your CELLS - Ask to be shown like a daydream or memory and write down what comes up; the areas in your life where you feel limited, stuck, or uncertain. Note; relationships, career, personal growth, or any other aspects that come to mind. When you ask the question, it’s as though you just typed it in and pressed enter on google, give your search engine a minute to gather the information/data. Your cells are guiding you to the file’s in your memories like folders on a computer to where in your system the information you need to access is! We’ve got the opportunity to advance our own human systems and self-connection from a dial up like rate (where some might be if their running old and outdated applications) if we’re willing to!
3. *Identify Patterns and Beliefs*: Reflect on the file folders shown, open them up, ask what’s inside!? Observe all patterns, ideas, thoughts, feelings, actions, and beliefs that may be contributing to your limitations and/or your ability to calm your mind and communicate with yourself. Be honest with yourself, and try to identify any self-sabotaging tendencies or fear-based self-talk. It’s all self-study! Don’t judge, just note your behaviours ❤️🩹
4. *Release and Let Go*: Ask how you are meant to begin working through these imbalances day-to-day? Jot down all the steps. Ask if any part of your being rejects these steps forward? Take a few deep breaths, and as you exhale, imagine working through these limitations, patterns, and beliefs. What it would look like, feel like, sound like, etc.
5. *Connect with Your Inner Self*: Take a moment to thank your inner self, your intuition. Ask yourself, "What do I truly desire? What are my deepest passions and dreams?" Listen, jot down!
6. *Uncap Your Crown*: Imagine your crown opening up. As you inhale, envision a large stream of light expanding, toward the universe, filling your entire body, and connecting you to your highest self. Repeat the affirmation, "I uncap my crown, embracing my true power and potential."
7. *Seal with Intention*: Take a small bowl of water, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil (if using), and dip your fingers into the water. Touch your forehead, heart, and solar plexus, sealing your intention to embody your true self and potential.
8. *Integration and Reflection*: Take a few moments to reflect on your experience. Journal any insights, feelings, or observations that arose during the ritual. Allow yourcellves time to integrate these newfound awarenesses into your daily life.
