Spoonful of Staceyism - How I let Reiki change my life <3

Why Learn Reiki?

People come to practice reiki for so many different reasons. There are as many reasons as there are reiki students.

Some include learning reiki:

>to support a family member / themselves through an illness
>to provide reiki as a preventative measure against sickness for themselves / children / partners / family
>to support themselves during stressful periods and increase their well being
>to allow themselves to feel relaxed just like they do when receiving a reiki treatment
>to manage their pain and ease their suffering
>to go further with their own healing journey
>to compliment other holistic modalities(massage, physiotherapy, reflexology, yoga, amatsu, body talk, acupuncture, access bars)
>to support themselves and their patients in the medical environment .g. nurses, doctors, caretakers etc
>to check out reiki as they are curious about it or may have heard about it from a family member / friend.

The beauty of reiki is that it doesn’t matter what your background is or how old you are, Reiki will enrich you, your workplace, your family and all your interactions. Remember, reiki is not just for people who want to become healers – it’s for everyone.

I believe that reiki comes into our life at exactly the right moment – when you need it and when you are ready to receive the teaching. I have seen many students say ‘I wish I had found it earlier’ but when I ask them ‘would you have been open to it or would it have resonated with you back then?’ Most laugh and reply ‘probably not’. It always lands on our door at the right moment. We can trust in that – you and reiki found each other at exactly the right moment. So if you are reading this – maybe this is that moment!

Once you learn reiki you have the ability to ‘lay your hands’ on yourself whenever you feel out of balance. Self reiki is one of the most important activities you can do that will help you to support yourself and gives you the opportunity to listen. To listen to your heart and inner dialogue and hear that sill quiet voice within (the best friend, subconscious, higherself). Those who suffer from anxiety, depression, indecisiveness, lack of focus, insomnia like myself, reiki has been a great tool in developing my mind-body connection. As the physical body communicates to us through ailments and illness, through reiki we develop this connection and learn where we need to make changes in the way we respond to our day to day lives to improve our physical and emotional health.

Through reiki I reversed my failing immune system;  battled depression, insomnia, healed my leaky gut, detoxified yeast overgrowth in my blood, healed my reactive arthritis/inflammation/calcification in my bones, gained a wider range of motion/flexibility in my muscles and joints and learned the root of their existence in my system as well as discovered contributions to illness I had suffered from throughout my life.

I found my life's(souls) purpose, attracted like minded friends/experiences, met my true love, found members of my soul family, began to love myself and think freely without a constant fear/worry/concern what others thought/expected of me. I learned how to speak my truth freely, honor my desires and pleasures, think for myself, stand in my power and trust in myself, develop my intuition, practice mindfulness (present moment acceptance), learn the universal laws and how to manifest, healed past relationships with friends/family learning the root of their lesson/blessing, overcame physical, emotional, sexual abuse,  gaining a deeper level of understanding how to work with nature and respond to the challenges in my life in healthier ways cultivating balance, harmony and peace in my mind, body and soul shifting my whole perception of life.

Like any area of life (personal or professional), it is only through practice and experience that one goes deeper into their relationship with reiki and where the wisdom of reiki unfolds within us. As your relationship with reiki grows, it will go from being a concept and a thing you ‘do’, to being reiki as you move from ‘doing’ to ‘being’ and from ‘doing’ to accepting and trusting.

Learning reiki is the start of a beautiful relationship – a relationship that will only ever guide you, support you and continue to go deeper.

Light & Love,
