THE ENERGY WE BRING HOME
Leo Season, Self-Generation & Returning to Centre
There was no August issue.
Not because there was nothing to say, but because our own healing coincided with the cycle we were meant to be writing about.
The energy we would normally use to observe, translate, create and share needed to be brought home.
And somewhere inside that pause, the teaching became clearer:
Sometimes we aren't meant to write about the cycle.
Sometimes we're meant to live it.
WHY WE FOLLOW THE CYCLES
We don't move through the zodiac seasons to let astrology tell us who we are.
We use them to notice our patterns within nature.
Twelve zodiac signs. Twelve months. Twelve positions around a clock.
Each gives us another perspective—a different place from which to observe ourselves, our patterns and the season we're moving through.
The more perspectives we can consciously hold, the more rounded our view becomes.
And eventually, instead of being carried unconsciously around the wheel, we begin learning how to observe it from the centre.
LEO BRINGS US TO SOL
Leo season brings us to the Sun.
SOL.
The centre around which our solar system moves.
Which gave us a question this August:
What are you orbiting?
Other people's emotions? Expectations? Responsibilities? Approval? Work? The constant stream of things asking for your attention?
It's easy to spend so much energy responding to everything outside ourselves that eventually we say:
I'm drained.
But self-generation isn't about figuring out how to become an endless battery.
It's learning to notice where your energy is going—and when it's time to bring some of it home.
Sometimes that looks like movement.
Sometimes expression.
Sometimes boundaries.
Sometimes asking for help.
And sometimes it looks like rest.
August, for us, required the latter.
FROM REACTION TO AWARENESS
Our bodies are constantly responding to experience.
A conversation tightens your jaw. A familiar situation turns your stomach. Something seemingly small creates a disproportionately large emotional response.
Instead of immediately trying to get rid of it, we can get curious.
What just happened?
Where have I felt this before?
What is actually mine here?
What is this showing me?
When we begin tracing reactions back to their patterns, something that once moved us unconsciously becomes something we can consciously work with.
This is the beginning of what we call Cellular Alchemy:
notice → trace → feel → process → integrate.
Not erasing an experience, but changing our relationship to what it continues to generate within us.
THE 13TH CONDUIT
There is a deeper teaching underneath this that we call The 13th Conduit.
If twelve positions give us twelve perspectives around a wheel, the 13th is not another position around its edge.
It is the centre.
From there, the seasons still move.
Life still changes.
We still feel.
But we can begin recognizing the pattern without automatically becoming the pattern.
That broader view creates discernment.
Where am I?
What season am I in?
What is this showing me?
And what do I want to generate from here?
There is much more to this teaching.
We'll get there.
For now, August offered something simpler.
The missing issue became the issue.
The pause became part of the practice.
And Leo's SOL reminded us that sometimes healing isn't about finding more energy outside ourselves.
It's about returning to centre long enough to remember:
we can generate from within.
late summer, early fall, and everything in between.
